Dear Linda

Vascular complications are very common with diabetes, it could also be that you have a nerve complication. The most important thing for you and every diabetic is to have regular foot assessments by a podiatrist. They would be able to find the cuase for your painful toes and treat them accordingly.

Regards
Chris
