Diabetes

My sister' s sugar level does not want to drop,the reading is over
17,since she is in hospital.It drops and then it goes up again.
What is causing this.,and how dangerous is this.

It can be very dangerous as they can develop a diabetic coma, the cause is usually a shortage of insulin, complicated by infection, stress, or an operation. Sometimes these patients need to go onto insulin injections until it stabilizes again.
