Dermaroller

Hi there, me again :)

What is your take on the dermaroller? Is it really beneficial or just another gimmick?

Thank you kindly.

Hi Bee Sting, thank you for the question.

Needling has been used for a number of years with good results however they are dependent on the age of the skin, the degree of sun damage, the depth of the needles (at home use or in office use rollers) and the type of topical product used after the treatment. The in-office needling procedure (doctor’s rooms) will yield good results and one may need a total of 3 to 5 treatments; at home rollers should be used daily and one can expect to see good results after 6 to 12 months.
