Depression and weight

My mother is a top notch businesswoman, who travels extensively - the problem is that she obviously extremely stressed, which makes her eat, which makes her depressed because she is overweight. Its nearly impossible for her to follow a diet, as she is always on the road, sleeping in hotels, etc. She has an irregular heart beat, low blood pressure. Is there any medication on the market that she might be able to take (with supervision from a doc) that might adres her anxiety as well as her emotional eating?

Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy ( CBT ) combined with good advice on diet and exercise ( taking into account the factor of her business travel ) would be best. It IS very much possible to follow a diet, as most hotels can provide healthy food and salads, and if not, nearby restaurants can. And many provide a gym or other exercise facility.
She should seek a thorough ssessment by a psychiatrist to consider whether medication might ALSO help ( as well as the diet and exercise program ), and can take into account any significant physical problems she might have.
