Depression

Hi, Dr I have been experiencing symptoms of depression for a few months. Not sure what to do. I feel tired, listless an negative..

Please advise what to do

Self-diagnosis can be important, but it's always wise to have this possibility checked by at last a GP, if possible, a psychiatrist. Then you can discuss treatment options with the doc. These could include counselling, especially of the CBT form, and/or antidepressant meds. Fortunately though depression is common, it generally responds really well to properm treatment.
One of the reasons its important to get a professional assessment is that you may be unhappy for various reasons, which may need to be attended to, but not necessarily suffering from a Depression, which is different in degree and extent, and needs more specific treatment

First of all see your gp for a full checkup to make sure there are no other explanation for your symptoms, e.g. thyroid problems.
