Dark brown discharge instead of blood flow

I am not on birth control, nor am i pregnant. My last period consisted of a brown discharge and prob a couple of drops of blood but minimal. I had the normal period pain, and have expierenced " ovulation pains"  this past week too.

Is there reason for concern based on the fact that my last period was in fact a brown almost lumpy discharge?
I am currently trying to conceive
