Cystist and Trying to conceive

HI !

I had my Mirena removed in Sept. My gynae discovered a huge cystist on my ovary (only have one due to having lost one to an infection 3 years ago) so he decided to put me on the pill Yasmin for three months to treat the Cystist. All pain is gone and I have one week left on the " yellow"  pills and then I am finished. I will be seeing my gynae again in Jan. What I would like to know is can I start ttc ? or must I wait a month after this period to start ? I don' t want to start too early if a miscarriage is more likely. So my question is can I go ahead or should I still have protected sex till after I have seen my gynae ??
