Our expert says:
Edronax is the trade name for the chemical Reboxetine. Cymbalya is Duloxetine, and it is a dual selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SSNRI) whereas most of the older and more established antidepressants work predominantly on one or the other of these two chemicals which are both active in the brain and relevant in depression.
These are newish and expensive antidepressants, and I am puzzled as to why your doc would want you to take both at the same time ( GPs should never prescribe such combinations, only a fully qualified specialist psychiatrist ) --- and no doctor should prescribe any combination without first being certaint that there is no likely bad interaction between them.
If you are being treated only by a GP, it would be wise to ask for referral to a psychiatrist for a second opinion. If you are being treated by a psychiatrist, then that doc should have explained all of these issues to you at the start, and should have made sure that you understood and were content with all the information you needed
