Cunnilingus

Is cunnilingus really safe? Surely all the germs in ones mouth would get transferred to the vagina and cause illness/medical problems?

Whilst it is feasible, it doesn't usually create problems from a germ perspective.Remember that we swap bacteria when we kiss deeply too, but rarely does one hear of infections caused. The body develops immunity to many bacteria keeping it in balance/healthy. The main risk for unprotected cunnilingus would be where one person has a sexually transmitted infection. iF you have concerns, you could use a 'dental dam' (like a condom for the mouth) or, perhaps more convenient, place some cling film over her vulva to prevent the swapping of fluids - her sensation should not be hampered too much...
