Knowing what the problem is, is obviously useful - otherwise your attempts to solve problems would be essentially random. But knowing its name or description is not in itself a solution, and one needs to work, on one's own or with a counsellor, to plan proper solutions to the identified problems - that's why I recommend CBT ( Cognitive-behaviour therapy ) which does exactly that. I don't know who you saw, but I doubt that any mental health professional would expect to see someone with any significant probleem, only once - so do indeed see them again and ask whether they, or someone they could refer you to, could work on finding solutions for the problems identified, including this perhaps excessive sensitivity to changes
