Hallo Kirst
Is the joint warm or swollen? Do you feel a grating feeling when you move it? If it is stiff and sore in the mornings you should maybe ask your doctor to order a x/ray to look for sogns of arthritis. It could also be inflammation in the bursa (fluid filled sac in the joint) or inflammation of the ligaments.
