Cough

My daughter has been diagnosed with asthma and put on Symbicord. She has been taking this for over 2 years now. Recently she has terrible bouts of coughing. It sounds like barking. She has seen her GP and he has given her antibiotics and even cortisone, but the barking persists. Could you possibly assist and inform me of what type of doctor should I take her to. Incidentally her asthma has been treated by a pulmonologist.

Thanks
