contractive injection

I am 50 years old, and been on contraceptive injection for 30 years. I have not had a period. How will I know when i''m going through menopause. I have also just had a stroke. Can I carry on with injection.

At 50 years the chnaces of pregnancy are very very low, so I would think you could stop the injection and see whether you still have periods.
