Contraceptive

Good day
I am a smoker, 37 and need to start some form of contraception. Would u recommend the injection or the pill? I am not up to having more children so that is not an issue. If I do start a contraceptive, does it have to be the day my period starts?

Thanks
L

It is not advised to use the Pill over the age of 35 if you smoke. The injection would thus be better. You don't have to have it on the day your period starts.

Best wishes
