contraception for teen for severe menstrual cramps

My daughter is nearly 15. The gynaecologist that we consulted wants to put her on the pill (Yasmin) to help alleviate her severe menstrual cramps. What do you think?

That would work. Has she tried Ponstan?

A guaranteed cure for severe menstrual cramps is swallowing raw garlic with water/juice/tea 2 to 3 times a day during the period. Providing one is not allergic to garlic.

My teen daughter has also been told to go on this pill. I have heard that it is good. I am going to let her try it out and see if things improve. Good luck
