Company Closing

If a company closes and retrenches their staff, is it law for them to pay out leave and severence pay equivalent to 1 week' s pay for every year worked?

If any company closes they certainly must pay out all the outstanding leave pay and severance pay equivelant to one weeks pay for every completed year of work.
