clueless re HPV

i had an abnormal smear almost 10 yrs ago and was cleared with letz cone biopsy, every year since then had a clear pap smear. No other problems. My partner though had to have warts removed from his penis twice in the past 10 yrs once just after my abnormal smear and then again 3 yrs ago. His urologist said it was hpv. My question re this is, if i should move on to another relationship, will i give the hpv to another partner just by giving a blow job, or should i ask is it possible to transfer hpv virus with the mouth via oral sex from me to the new partner? i am not talking about having intercourse here just oral sex? if so how will the new partner know will he also get warts?
Thanks

HPV can be transmitted through oral sex. Men usually present with warts if they have HPV though many are asymptomatic.
