Dear Aschika
According to my copy of MIMS in regard to Ciplatrim it says the following: "Continue treatment beyond 3 months only in patients responding to treatment as indicated by weight loss greater than or equal to about 5% of initial weight within 3 months of starting treatment." Seeing that Ciplatrim is a Schedule 5 medication it can only be prescribed by a medical doctor, so please discuss the use of Ciplatrim with your doctor. The dr will have to decide if you have lost 5% of your initial weight (i.e. if you weighed 100 kg at the start of the 3 months, you should have lost 5 kg by the end of this period to qualify) in 3 months and if he/she is satisfied for you to continue.
Best regards
