chlamydia

Dear Gynaedoc

i' m 39 and have had 2 sexual partners, always used a condom and never contracted an std. now i am dating a wonderful man, for about 2 months and we' d have protected vaginal sex (with condom) and oral sex (without condom). he has recently been diagnosed (testing dna so not definite yet) with chlamydia.
Could you please tell me if it' s possible i could have contacted it through oral sex (without a condom) and if i have to go on antibiotics will it be gone for good?
thank you
Lilly

It is unlikely that you would contract chlamydia through oral sex.
