Child pulling her hair

Hi Dr A Burger,

She is four years old. She started pulling her hair when she was a few months old. A 2 years ago a doctor diagnosed her with asthma.

Dear Busie
Dr Burger will only be "on duty" again on Friday. Pulling hair is often a habit or something they do to soothe themselves or when they are anxious. It has no relationship to asthma.

It may help to see a child psychologist to develop techniques to distract her from doing this?
