Hallo Penny
Chickenpox in adults can be dangerous as one can get complications like pneumonia or meningitis from it. In most people however, it runs the same course as in children. It usually last for 7-10 days. Treatment is treating the fever and itching (Washing with Lifebuoy soap works wonders to dry out blisters and reduce itching!) with something like Mypaid and Calamine lotion. Watch out for signs of pneumonia (cold shivers, coughing and chest pain) or meningitis (nausea, headache and stiff neck) Stay away from other people, but you may bath, just don't catch a cold.
