chick pox vaccination for adults?

Dear Doc,

Can an adult go for vaccination against chicken pox? I never had it as child and now there are 2 people in my office who have it. I really can''t deal with that (and shingles probably too) at this stage!

Hallo Gogga
There is a vaccine available - Varilrix. Unfortunately one can be infected before the patients get the rash, so if you worked in the same room as one of them, you may be infected already. If you decide to go for the vaccination, you need to get a booster 6 weeks later.
