Chest xray in second trimester

Dear GynaeDoc,

I am early in my second trimester and so far all has gone well.

I have just heard that I need to go for a chest x-ray in the next few weeks for a medical. From what I have read up on the internet it seems that this is a pretty ''safe'' procedure for just one x-ray specifically when using an apron to shield the foetus. Is this true or is it a more serious procedure that I should not undergo due to serious risk factors?

Thank you.
