I am starting to work out a low GI diet for myself due to low blood sugar issues. I cannot find direction with regards to cheese - specifically cottage cheese and fetta - are they low or high GI

Dear Mel
Most foods derived from animals such as cheese, milk, yoghurt, meat, fish, eggs and all fats are low-GI. Just make sure that you use low-fat versions (e.g. low-fat or fat-free milk, yoghurt, feta or cottage cheese, lean meat, etc), so that you don't gain weight.
Best regards
