Cataract vs Hypertention

Someone deleted my thread so I am not sure if it was responded to?
Is there a link between cataract of the eye and hypertention?i.e. can the former be as a result of the latter...
Thanks

Hallo Bles
Yes hypertension can cause cateracts but having hypertension should not be a reason not to treat the cataracts. Taking medication for the hypertension will not cause the cateracts to resolve or get better. I think your mom should see an opthalmologist.
