Cat vomiting hairballs

We have a medium hair cat which we' ve had for the past year. Only the past month has she started vomitting hairballs up to twice a week. We have adjusted her diet to the appropriate food and have brushed her daily, yet it still seem to be a problem. The food does not appear to make her vomit. What could be the cause of it that it only seemed to be a problem now? Is there anything else we could do to help prevent her vomitting? We adopted another dog and it seemed it started from then. Could this have a relation?

Dear Nell

Put your cat on Hills hairball control and give her katalax twice weekly.
