Cat in bad mood

My 6 month old Ginger male cat is very unsociable and always seems to be in a bad mood, he is always outside and only come in the house when it is time to eat. I always try to cuddle and love him and give him treats but he does not seem to like being touched. Can cats become depressed or is this just their nature?

Dear Yolandi

Get a Feliway diffuser and see if that helps.

I also have one of these bad-tempered cats. He comes to look for love, and when you stroke him, he nips you...Mine just wants to be left alone, like Greta Garbo.
