RE: CASUAL WORKER DISMISSAL

A casual worker cannot be dismissed without notice. You have to have the normal notice given in the basic conditions of employment act.

If the person is an employee, he / she is entitled to certain rights, including a fair dismissal which follows correct procedures, and a notice period (unless the dismissal is a summary dismissal). If the person was employed for one task only (i.e. project based contract, with a limited time period) then this may change things. You' d have to be more specific.
