Dear Foxy
If you have a problem sticking to a slimming diet then there are a few things you can do to improve the situation: a) Only use a balanced slimming diet - do not try any fad diets that cut out whole food groups and/or starve you (click on 'DietnFood' at the top of this page, then on 'Healthy Diets' and then on 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of a balanced slimming diet); b) Do 30 min of cardio exercise every day (skip, cycle, swim, walk briskly, jog, etc), because research has shown that people who combine exercise with a diet, lose more weight and also stick to their diet more accurately than people who do not exercise; c) You can buy motivational tapes from organisations like Innertalk or Motivators, so contact www.innertalk.com or www.motivators.co.za and buy CDs or DVDs which can help you stick to your diet and exercise. Your present BMI = 32 which is very high and in the obese range. To get back into the overweight range (BMI of 27), you would need to weigh 69 kg and to return to the normal range (BMI = 25) you would need to weigh 64 kg. So try this approach so that you can stick to a balanced slimming diet, do your exercise and lose weight.
