Q.

Can Malaria be transmitted through sex?

Is it possible for someone who has malaria to transmit the parasite through unprotected sex?
As far as I know the parasite can only be transmitted through blood -what implications does this have on having sex when you have your period?

Dear Worried
No Malaria can not be transmitted by sex. Having your period won't be a problem. Malaria can be transmitted rarely by getting malaria infected blood transfusion, needle stick injury and mother to fetus.
