Can I see GP instead of Gynae

Im a female an just moved to a new area. the medical centre in my area does not have a gynae per say, however the GP/ family doctor performs those functions. I usually go for routine check ups, paps an contaceptive prescription. Should i look for a gynae, or will i be in good hands with a family doctor.
