it really depends what form you take the calcium in, as all calcium's are not absorbed and use by the body the same. It also depends on your health history, your weight ect. The same for your vitamin D intake. You can have a blood tests done to see what your Vitamin D status is and this would give you an indication of how much you need. One size does not fit all.
