Q.

C-Section vs Natural

Hey there, I''m almost 4 months pregnant and am thinking about my birthing options, ie: natural or c-section? Since the beginning of my pregnancy I have been sure about going the natural route and then having a C if necessary... now, after reading some articles, I''m not so sure anymore. It''s not the pain I''m worried about, I have a high thresh-hold, it''s the after effects! Yes I know that you''re up and about the same day when you have vaginal and are a lot more sore with a C, but it seems one is never really the same " down there"  after a natural... I read that it takes some women a year or more to feel somewhat normal again and for the pain durning love making to subside. The one lady likened sex with her hubby to feeling like " razor blades"  and that just freaked me out. Now I''m thinking that maybe I should just go the C route and keep my lady bits intact? PLEASE can you share your experiences with me? I am so torn (excuse the pun). Many thanks

To each his own, do what you feel most comfortable with. I had natural with all 3 and my lady bits ARE all intact.

C-section ! I agree, keep your lady bits intact. In fact, I have had gynaes admit that women'' lady parts never return to normal (as it was before birth). And of course, every woman who has had natural birth, even those who have had 4/5 kids via vaginal birth, will always say their lady parts are perfect again afterwards....which is not the case :)

Hi Preggo. You shouldnt stress about things. Personally I feel that natural is the best unless there are serious complications and you require a c section. Remember that not ervryone has the same experiences. I am quite a petite lady (1.5 metres) and had two natural births. Doc said I was quite small down there and was a bit concerned but all went well with both births. Pain is something that is part of the birth or after birth process but as you say you have a high threshold for pain so it should be a breeze for you. As for your lady bits, mine are A okay. I enjoy intercourse as much as I did before...honestly even more...and I am as tight as a horse. Helps to do kegel exercises. Sex the first times after birth is a bit sore but like my Gynae said, the more you do it the less pain you will experience. I hope you consider natural birth, its a wonderful experience...pain and all.
