Burning sensation on soles of feet and palms of hands

I often experience burning sensation on soles of feet and palms of hands. The sensation is temporary and lasts for a few minutes.

Dear Gavin

The sensation of burning or pins and needles is known a paresthesia and can be caused by a number of conditions. The most likely cause is peripheral neuropathy which is caused by, amongst other conditions, diabetes. If you do not have diabetes you could have a skin infection.

Hi,
Dankie vir die interessante inligting. Ek sukkel ook met " brand voete" . Ek het laat toets vir diabetis, maar dit was negatief. Die dokter het vir my Trepelien voorgeskryf, wat ' n ligte anti-depresante is wat inwerk om die senuwee stelsel. Dit help, maar neem dit nie weg nie. Party dae kan ek nie wag om by die huis te kom en my skoene uit te trek nie. In die somer sit ek met my voet in die swembad om dit af te koel. Dan gebeur dit weer dat ek dae loop sder enige simptome!! Dink jy nie dit het te doen met MENOUPAUSE nie. Ek het al heelwat opgelees hieroor en dit lyk vir my dit kom meer by " ouer mense"  voor?
Ek sal graag wil hoor wat dink jy?
