Dear JJFLEG

Burning soles of the feet can mean many different things. Firstly it could be a skin infection, either fungal such as athlete's foot or bacterial such as pitted keratolysis. Burning is also sometimes caused by having excess callus build-up or corns under the feet. It could also be as a result of a systemic condition such as diabetes.

Of all these, calluses under the feet is probably the most common and can easily be treated.

Chris
