My husband was diagnose with acute bronchitis in the beginning of Jan. His been through a course of antb. and cortisone. Although his feeling better, he still gets coughing fits and is still very short of breath. For how long can this last? When should we go back to the dr?

No, no x-rays has been taken, even though he has been to see 3 different dr. His been on a range of meds. But he keeps on coughing and can' t exercise or walk very far before getting a fit or being out of breath.
