When I first go to lie down in bed I am a bit out of breth for a few seconds after lying down and I have to take a deep breth to get it normal again.

Shortness of breath when lying down could be a symptom of heart disease (early heart failure for instance) or lung disease ( emphysema) or high blood pressure disease - please let your doctor have a look
