Borsluis

We found a tiny " borsluis"  on our 1 year old. We pulled it of with a tweazer and then squeezed the head out. It left a small red mark. What symtomns should we look for and is there any preventitive medicine we can give him just in case.

Thank you for visiting health24.com.

It is very important that you make an appointment with a Paediatrician as soon as possible, to exclude possible tick bite fever. Children under 12 years of age can not be treated with the normal antibiotics and blood tests will only confirm tick bite fever after 21 days of infection.

Kind regards
