Boric acid tablets to treat candida glabrata

a Dr suggested that i take boric acid tablets to treat candida glabrata , is it safe to use them , i am hiv- and diabetris -.

The usual treatment for Candida is Canesten or a similar antifungal. I don't know about boric acid.

This Gynae is unaware of Candida Glabrata. Its a rare form of Candida which you cannot treat with normal antifungals. The only way currently is through intravenous. Shocking that this was the only answer you received form Health 24.
