Dear Sally
Congratulations on your pregnancy. This is the one time in your life when you need to think of your child before yourself. Please stop eating all these high-fat and high-sugar snacks, because it is very detrimental to your own health and your baby's health if you gain too much weight during your pregnancy. Although you need to gain some weight during the 9 months of pregnancy, you should be eating a well balanced, nutrition diet and not eating junk food because you are bored or tired. Please click on 'DietnFood' at the top of this page and then on 'Eating Throughout life' and read the articles on 'Pregnancy'. If you are allowed to read at work when you don't have anything to do, then start reading up about pregnancy and how you can give your baby the best start in life. Get up from your desk at 20 min intervals and walk a bit or drink a bit of water to keep going. Healthy snacks include fresh fruit, carrot and celery sticks, baby tomatoes, Pro-Vita, fat-free yoghurt and cottage cheese, and nuts and dried fruit (in moderate quantities). Also do some deep breathing exercises to keep you awake and alert. If possible ask your boss or supervisor if you can do additional jobs so that your mind is more stimulated and you can stop thinking of food.

I suggest you either find a job that keeps you busy or think about the weight gain after the baby is born - its difficult to lose weight if you gonna eat all the junk during the pregnancy.

I am SO thankful that we don''t have a vending machine! I feel exactly the way you do - 22 weeks preg. Will check if DietDoc comes up with a solution - I''d also like to know.
