I suggest that you consult your doctor for a prescription of oral antibiotics. Bactroban topical ointment can be applied, twice daily to the boil. Oral anti-inflammatory medication, like Ibuprofen will reduce the inflammation and pain. Bactroban and Ibuprofen are available over the counter but you will need a script for the antibiotics.
