Body Changes

My husband' s cousin 12 years old are experiencing bad headaches lately. She started getting her periods for the first time last month round about 20th April. But since mid last week she is getting constant headaches, she doesn' t feel ill otherwise. The GP just prescribed pain tablets for her. She wears her glasses when she is suppose to and no changes in her diet, doesn' t really go through stress. Could this perhaps be her body changing and all due to that she started her periods. Please advise as I don' t want her to take pain killers the whole time.
