Dear Hester
There is no recommendation for the quantity of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) that will specifically prevent the formation of blood clots and as yet, no RDA has been established. The suggested daily intake of omega-3 is 1 gram per day, which will ensure benefits such as reduction of the risk of heart disease, arthritis and other complications.
