Blood sugar too high

I am having a problem bringing my glucose level down in my blood sugar. I have using Glucostate with a low gi diet. I lost 3 kgs at the start but have now put on 6kgs. my readings for insulin fasting over the last few tests are 16.1/14.3/15.2.
am getting to my wits end as nothing seems to be working.

Hallo Tracey
You may need to use something to stabilize your insuline like Glucophage, natural medication may not be enough. Following a low GI diet is 100% correct but you may have insulin resistance. How does your fasting blood sugar look? Have you checked your thyroid hormone levels too?

Hi Dr Bets
Thanks for a prompt response.
My P-Glucose fasting has been 5.1/4.8/5.40. I did test my thyroid ages ago and there was not a problem. will do it again just to make sure.
Many thanks
