blood pressure meds and fertility

My husband has just currently started taking the following high blood pressure medication which his doctor has prescribed for him:
Sinopren 20mg and Ciplavasc 5mg
We are trying to conceive (this is our 5th month of trying) can this medication have an affect on his fertility at all? should it be avoided if we are trying to conceive or is it safe?

please advise soonest.

Dear Debbie

The medication should have any direct impact on sperm quality and therefore should not interfere with possibilities of conception. On the contrary patients with uncontrolled hypertension may suffer with impaired sperm production if there are co-existing circulation problems.
