Blood Pressure Measurements

My BP readings on 29 July 09 were: Max Systollic - 128 MMhg
Minimum Diastolic - 87 mmHg.

On 31 July ' 09 they were: Max Systollic - 153 mmHg  Min Diastolic - 96 mmHg

Is this normal? Can I become hypertensive in such a short space of time? The results are from the machine at the gym before exercises.

Hallo Thabo
One is not hypertensive if one reading is high - stress, exercise, anger etc all cause your blood pressure to go up. If you take your blood pressure regularly and the AVERAGE reading at the top is > 140 and >90 below, you may have reason to worry and to see your doctor
