Your Paediatrician or GP should evaluate your child for possible allergies, or enlarged adenoids, as the sinusses are not yet fully developed in a 5 year old. Children do not often suffer sinus disease at such a young age, but it is not impossible. If your GP is worried, he/she should ask for an ENT opinion.
