Our expert says:
It all depends on what is causing your bloating. Bloating can be due to so many different conditions (for example: irritable bowel disease (IBS), ulcers, gastric reflux, gallbladder problems, enzyme deficiencies, food allergies or sensitivities, etc) that I would urge you to have a medical examination to find out which one of these conditions is responsible for your condition so that you can obtain the best treatment (e.g. ulcers need to be treated with proton pump inhibitors and/or antacids and/or antibiotics). In the meanwhile use activated charcoal (buy at chemist) and click on ‘Diet’, ‘You are what you eat’ and “Healthy GI tract’ to read about tips on how to prevent bloating.
