Hi TC

You can purchase dog shoes from a vet shop or the internet and this will help alleviate the problem of the blisters.

The other suggestions are to walk your mum’s JRT on hard surfaces and the pad’s will naturally harden with time, alternatively use surgical spirits 3-4 times daily and this will also harden the pads – please ensure that you do not apply spirits when there are open wounds/blisters evident.

Kind Regards

Take him to the Vet for a check, and to check for infection. Then speak to a behaviourist, to see what you can do to stop this running around. The sooner it gets stoppped, hopefully before it is a habit, the better.
