bleeding after sex - had pap smear, nothing found

Hi doc,

I have been bleeding after sex now and then.
I went to the gynae for a check up and pap and she found nothing
Unusual.

What are my options now as I am quite worried?

Thanks,

Lee

If the pap was normal, it excludes the serious causes of bleeding. It could be that you are dry and this causes some irritation. KY jelly would help with this. It could also be that you have a small raw area on the cevix which can bleed. These can sometimes be cauterised.

Best wishes

I think a second pregnancy test might be in order.
